Have not seen all movies so can’t say for sure but they look like good nominations except for …..

Masaan should have been nominated for Best Film.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol should not have been nominated for Dilwale. Ajay should have been nominated for Drishyam instead. Akshay should have been nominated for Baby.

Deepak Dobriyal and Jimmy Shergill should not have been nominated for Tanu Weds Manu Returns though they were good and ok respectively. Amitabh should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor instead. Irfan should have been nominated for Piku.

Anushka Sharma should not have been nominated for Dil Dhadakne Do when she did not have much of a role and Priyanka was better.

Agree with all you have said. Additionally, Nawaz should also have been nominated for Bajrangi in supporting actor category. Radhika Apte too in supporting for Badlapur. PC deserved Best Actress nomination for BM, not supporting. Although I like the music of DDD, Prem Ratan had better and more popular music this year and should have been in the list.

Yes I forgot Radhika Apte. She deserved a Supporting actress nomination for Badlapur.

Just watched Bajrangi Bhaijaan and agree with you that “Nawaz should also have been nominated for Bajrangi in supporting actor category.”

I think if you release the movie in the early part of the year people forget those movies/performances by the end of the year.

Taapsee Pannu was praised so much when Baby released and has been totally ignored by the awards now. She deserved a Best Supporting Actress nomination.

Same with Dum Laga Ke Haisha which deserved a nomination for Best Film. Ayushman Khurana deserved a nomination for Best Actor and Bhumi Pednekar deserved a nomination for Best Actress too.

      Agree.

Also Neeraj Kabi IMO as a villain in DBB or as main actor in Talvar. Konkona too acted well. So did Ajay devgan and inspector gaitonde in Drishyam.

Yeah both Neeraj and Konkona were good in Talvar. They almost completely overlooked Drishyam when it came to awards.
