I liked The Big Short and it had a very good screenplay but I think Room deserved the award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Well deserved win for Alicia Vikander for The Danish Girl.
Mad Max: Fury Road wins Best Costume Design and Best Production Design. That’s kind of unexpected.
3 in a row for Mad Max: Fury Road as it wins Best Makeup
Well deserved win for Emmanuel Lubezki for Best Cinematography for The Revenant.
Agreed .
Mad Max is sweeping the awards. Already 4 including Best Editing
Damn
The site went down with the traffic for a few minutes but its back now.
That’s a surprise. Mark Rylance was very good but I thought Mark Ruffalo would win Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
Ennio Morricone finally wins an Oscar for Best Original Score. Very well deserved.
Well deserved win. Alejandro González Iñárritu wins Best Directing as predicted.
Is is the first time a director won two years in a row ? how many directors won twice ?
Anyway a gifted director he is . Well deserved.
Lot of directors have won twice. John Ford won two back to back for The Grapes of Wrath (1940 / 13th Academy Awards) and How Green Was My Valley (1941 / 14th Academy Awards). He has won 4 for Best Director.
Joseph L. Mankiewicz won two back to back for A Letter to Three Wives (1949 / 22nd Academy Awards) and All About Eve (1950 / 23rd Academy Awards).
List of directors with two or more Academy Awards for Best Director
Oh . Haven’t seen any recent incident . So thought its the first .
Brie Larson wins Best Actress for Room as predicted. Well deserved win.
