  1. Far better than the other awards..as they dont go by Boxoffice.

    ZNMD is the best film of the year for me and Zoya the best director.

    Some performances that stood out for me –
    SRK in DON 2
    Ranbit in Rockstar
    Pitobash in SOTC
    Vijay Raaz in DB

    Best lyrics – Nadaan Parindey, Best music – Rehman for Rockstar.

    Vidya Balan is anyway guaranteed to win all the awards this year.

    I am surprised DON 2 is not included for cinematography.. it has some of the best shots ever seen in Hindi films.

  2. Pretty good list i must say for nominations but i dont understand Srk there as from whosoever has liked the movie is because of cool axn and said Srk is just OK .. i havent seen so not sure but thats what is the feedback from my frends in Delhi/NCR

  4. @Manish…SRK was excellent as DON..Whoever said he was ok is grossly wrong…It was vintage SRK on display here in the movie..Having said that ,I think,there were better performances than SRK’s in the year…

  5. I think ZNMD is undoubtedly Best Movie of the Year and Zoya Akhtar should win Best Director for ZNMD.
    Also,
    Vidya Balan is a Crystal Clear Winner for Best Actress.
    Among Best Actor, My vote goes to SRK for DON 2 .
    Ranbir is also a contender.

    If you sincerely ask my opinion the I would like to say that RA.1 was BAD Movie and it deserved the criticism.
    But,
    DON 2 is really very sleek, stylish and fultoo Paisa Vasool Movie.

  7. personally i prefer comic & negative actors to judged under best supporting actor title. anyway nice list..

    some choices i don’t agree–db&shaitan as best film,kangana ranaut as best actress,a.r.rahman as best music director,aronodu sing and kalki ..

    some nomination i was expecting -tusshar for sitc,don-2’s dop,pkp and luv ranjan,mfk.

    but it’s gonna be a year of znmd..best film of the year..i guess will win best film and best director…vidya is clear fav in best actress if i go by wom.(as i haven’t seen) .best actor will be tough one..srk/madhvan my choice.ror maybe ranbir ..he was was briliant in parts.overall his performence is also a contender.

    shaitan or DB are not gr8 movies in any which way and do not deserve the nominations.

    I forgot about mentioning a few other noticeable performances – Jimmy Shergill in SBAG was terrific and should win the best villain award IMO.
    Stanley ka Dabba is anotther gem of a film which deserved more…and surprising to see PKP missing in the list.

  9. Some choices are good but lot are bad. I agree with cr7 and shilac above. There is no PKP, Stanley ka Dabba. And there is no Farhan Akhtar either.

    I disagree with you on the supporting actor category. Even at the Oscars comedians never get any awards. So I think there should be a separate category for them. Last year the “Osama” guy from TBL did not win any awards. This year Divyendu from PKP should get all the comedian awards but if there is only one supporting role category then he will definitely not get it.

    Generally in India people give supporting role awards to the side hero in multi star movies. May be they should rename it Character role or something. Lead and Supporting role awards usually go to the big stars. Its these comic and negative role categories where the smaller actors have any chance of winning awards.
