First of all EID MUBARAK to all.
Here are the list of 10 movies which had all the ingridents of a good film but failed to create an impact at the boxoffice. So here we go-
10. Mr and Mrs Iyer – a film based upon castism and hindu muslim riots.
9. Black friday – a movie about the investigations following bombay bomb blasts.
8. Tere Naam – a rare love story where the boy dont get his girl. Salman khan at his best.
7. Iqbal– deaf and mute son of a farmer who is very passionate about cricket but finds it difficult to make way to the Indian team.
6. Khosla Ka Ghosla – a common man who buys a plot but latter finds out that he has been cheated and tries to regain the plot with legal means but fails miserably. The whole process of revenge by his son is a classic.
5. Swades – an Indian scientist returns to his village to take his nanny to America with him and in the process rediscovers his roots.
4. Udaan– story of a 16 year old boy who was expelled from his school, latter to face his oppressive father’s anguish.
3. Dil Chahta Hai – a movie about male bonding where three friends are together despite having different thinking.
2. Hera Pheri – a story about three unemployed/underemployed men dreaming to make it big but latter finds themselves to be trapped.
1. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S – a story of a ‘BHAI’ who goes to medical college to fulfill his father’s dream.
P.S. I have taken the movies from last decade only as i have not watched the movies from 80’s-90’s.

I am not sure if all of the movies in your list were not a Hit. I thought Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, DCH, Tere Naam were hits but may be I was wrong. May be Doga can confirm.
as far as i know they were not hits. at best they were semi hits
yes sputnik,many of those are successes atleast if not technical hits.
Some films which i think deserved success is Rocket Singh ,Swades,Lakshya and TLOBS.
