Imran Khan gave an interview to Mumbai Mirror on the absence of releases, changing equations and why he’s not afraid of anyone stealing his film. In this he was asked about his wife Avantika’s comments about Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Rajneeti which supposedly ruined his friendship with Ranbir.

“Avantika’s comments about Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Rajneeti, overheard by Rahul Rawail, ruined your friendship with Ranbir?
(Straightfaced) Is Rahul Rawail still around? He had a grudge against Avantika because she’d rejected his Buddha Mil Gaya when working for a studio after it had been greenlit. After the story came out, I called Ranbir, told him this hadn’t happened. He had enough regard for me to take my word for it and not that of a third person who wanted to get his name in the papers or curry favour with someone.”
Rajat Rawail, son of Rahul Rawail and producer of Ready and Bodyguard has made a facebook post bashing Imran for his comment against his father.
“imraan khan needs a reality check. It was Mr. Aamir Khan that went from pillar to post promoting “Jaane Tu…” and his goodwill and credibility got the audience into the theaters. Imraan Khan’s claim to fame is “Once upon a time 2” [he ruined the brand franchise built by the stellar performance of Ajay Sir] & “Gori Tere Pyaar Main” which happens to be a landmark disaster in all senses in the solid dharma productions library. Both these above mentioned films are appx loss estimated of Rs 50cr+ to the producers/financiers/distributors. Shahrukh Khan says in Chak De India ” Pehle Apni Game Baaki Logon Se Unchi Karo, Phir Apni Aawaz Unchi Karna” _ Its extremely sad to hear Imraan Khan make a statement like this about Mr Rahul Rawail. If his has grand uncle was alive today [the legendry film maker Mr Nasir Hussain, who was a dear friend of Mr Rahul Rawail’s father Shri H S Rawail [mere mehboob and laila majnu] ] he would have put this obstinate, self conceited, disaster of a non actor in his place….Imraan khan needs to know his position in the trade today – he has only made it to the party list, thats it !!!! Today a film with me as a leading man will take a bigger draw then him….now its time for him to piggy back on Kangana Ranaut. ” imraan Khan aaj producer ke liye free main mahenga hain !!!”
