Manisha Koirala in Bhoot sequel

There have been whispers this past week that Manisha Koirala may be doing a film with Ram Gopal Verma. And Mirror can now tell you that the actress, who was last seen in director Onir’s critically acclaimed film I Am, will be next seen in Verma’s sequel to Bhoot which is likely to be shot in 3D.
Confirming the news, Manisha said, “I am very happy with my role in the film. With every film, if you have a good director, you go on to become a better actor. Like in Company, my role was very, very cool.
A source close to the film revealed, “While Manisha has signed on the dotted line, the leading man for Bhoot 2 is yet to be finalised.”The original Bhoot starred Ajay Devgn and Ramu’s ex Urmila Matondkar, whom Manisha will replace in the sequel. “Verma has an excellent rapport with Manisha since the days of Company. He rates her very highly as an actress. Manisha too loves Ramu’s work and regards him as a fine director,” said the source.
Meanwhile, we’ve learnt that the shooting of Bhoot 2, which revolves around a six-yearold girl named Allayna, has already started. In addition to Manisha, the film will also star Chakravarthy and south actress Madhushalini.

I am partial towards thriller genre: Sriram Raghavan

Besides his earlier two films Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddaar, his upcoming Agent Vinod, too, is a thriller and Indian director Sriram Raghavan says he is “partial” towards this genre of movies.
He made his debut as a director in Bollywood(Indian film industry) with Ek Hasina Thi (2004), a dark thriller, starring Saif Ali Khan and Urmila Matondkar. The film received rave reviews upon release and Saif’s negative character was appreciated by all.
He then went on to direct another thriller, Johnny Gaddaar (2007), which marked the debut of actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. The film received critical acclaim. Now, Sriram is ready with yet another thriller- Agent Vinod starring Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead.
“There are a lot of other things to do in a thriller genre, like Ek Hasina Thi was a revenge drama, Johnny Gaddar (about a) thief and Agent Vinod is a spy thriller. I think within a genre, we can show so many facets to a thriller,” Sriram told PTI in an interview.
“I am partial to thrillers but if somebody gives me a script like King’s Speech to do, I would love to do it too,” he said. The King’s Speech is a 2010 British historical drama directed by Tom Hooper.
