Ek Villain Scenes Inspired/Copied from I Saw the Devil

By now everyone has probably heard or read that Ek Villain is inspired/copied from I Saw the Devil. It was obvious from the theatrical trailer itself that it may have been inspired from it. So here are all the Ek Villain Scenes Inspired/Copied from I Saw the Devil.

First here is the theatrical trailer of Ek Villain.

 

In Ek Villain Shraddha Kapoor is on the phone with her husband Sidharth when Riteish attacks her with a screwdriver. She begs him to leave her as she is pregnant. He leaves and comes back and throws her off the balcony. In I Saw the Devil the heroine’s car has a flat tire and she is on the phone with her husband when the villain Choi Min-sik asks her if she needs help. She declines saying the tow truck is going to arrive. He leaves and comes back and attacks her with a hammer. He takes her to his place and she begs him to leave her as she is pregnant but he still kills her. Here is the scene where Choi Min-sik attacks her. Unfortunately the scene where she tells him she is pregnant is not available online.

 

In Ek Villain Riteish keeps getting thrashed by Sidharth and so is the case in the original. In one of the scenes Riteish almost dies when he is suffocated in a plastic bag and you can see same in this scene. In Ek Villain Riteish attacks the woman at the hospital and so is the case in I Saw the Devil. Unfortunately the hospital attack scene is not available online. Here is the scene where the hero thrashes the villain from I Saw the Devil and suffocates him with the plastic bag.

 

In Ek Villain Riteish calls Sidharth and tells him that he has found out who he is and that he made a mistake by not killing him. Here is the scene where Choi Min-sik calls Lee Byung-hun and tells he has found out who he is and that he made a mistake by not killing him.

 

In Ek Villain during the final scenes Riteish pretends to be scared of Sidharth but then tells he is not scared of him. Here is the corresponding scene from the original.

 

In Ek Villain the final scene involves Riteish being worried about his son getting killed. Here is the scene from the original where Choi Min-sik is worried that his son will accidentally kill him by opening the door.
